Mitch Hurtwiz has once again promised us more ‘Arrested Development.’ Not only is a brief movie in the works, according to Mitch, a tv series is also in store. This trick has been promising more Bluth family shenanigans for years and we have yet to see more Never Nudes or even a banana stand.
David Cross also made fans cry after he told TV Squadthat more A.D. was not going to happen.
“Way too much time it’s been (since the show ended). I mean, there’s so many people involved. Everyone’s doing their own thing, you know. And everybody’s aged. It’s just not going to happen. I’m sure I speak for everybody when I say we’d love for it to happen, we’d love to work on it, but just I don’t think… not going to happen.”
Enter Jason Bateman to uplift the hopes those craving more Lucille Bluth. (I miss her. It’s like looking into a crystal ball showing my future. But, instead of my blood children running amok, a collection of adopted pool boys will be fighting over my empire.)
“It’s a long process. But it could happen and it’s still in everybody’s plans for it to happen.”
Alas, the latest word from Hurtwiz is that 10 more episodes, each focusing on 1 character at a time, will be cranked out and followed by a film.
Until I there is a script and everyone has checked YES PLEASE! on a contract – This is how I’m gonna stay…
